About Lara.
I am passionate about helping clients achieve the best relationship they possibly can. I particularly love working with clients who are motivated to do the work they need, to attain growth and change.
If you are looking for sensitivity, understanding and a sense of humour, I am an experienced specialist couples therapist who would be delighted to help.
I have been married to my husband for over 30 years, and our three adult sons have now flown the nest. I also have two dogs, who I enjoy walking. I love to cook, and I am a late convert to gardening!
I am no stranger to challenges. Over the past several years, I have been with my mother through the trial of Alzheimer’s disease, whilst helping one of my three sons on his journey from drug and alcohol addiction to recovery.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Registered Member of the College for Sex and Relationship Therapy (COSRT), abiding by their ethical frameworks. In line with this, I have regular supervision and I am very committed to my own professional development. I hold professional indemnity insurance.
To further my training, I am currently part of Martha Kauppi, AASECT Bi-Monthly Consulting Group.
